The Sound Studio can be open for up to four hours. The standard package includes the recording booth, which has various signage, two viewing windows, one door and one ‘recording’ light box sign. The equipment includes 4 x headphones, microphones andstands, TV screen for words of backing track inside the booth, comprehensive backingtrack library, all necessary computer, sound and recording equipment, air conditioning unit for inside of booth, 1 x song selection imac and 1 x queue display imac, showing the order of recording sessions as booked by guests on the song selection imac.
1 x poser table for the song selection imac. Additional headphones are available outside the booth for other guests to listen in to recordings in progress. All recordings are provided on generically designed CDR's, playable in all cd players and computers. Three staff are provided to manage the sound studio, assisting guests in and out of the booth, assisting guests in making their song selection and making recordings on to CD. A Master CD is provided to the event organiser of all songs recorded.
Space required - The Sound Studio booth measures 2.5 m x 2.5 m and is also 2.5m high. In addition to
the space required for the booth, an area is also required either next to or in front of the
booth. This needs to accommodate a 6 ft foot table for all recording equipment and a
sound engineer working from behind. A poser table will also be set up near to the booth
to accommodate a song selection imac.
Set up times - Subject to access the sound studio can be set up within 90 minutes. This can be
reduced to 60 minutes with an additional staff member.
Set up requirements - The Sound Studio requires 1 x 13 amp power supply. Ideally, additional power sockets are required for each location where a song selection imac is set up.
Number of performers at one time - Up to four guests are able to record at one time. Each performer will receive their own CD copy of their recording.
Number of recordings - The amount of recordings will vary subject to the songs selected. On average, between 10 and 15 recordings can be made per hour. |
